Susan Lambert is a versatile actress, singer, writer, narrator, and producer who has appeared in leading roles, character roles, and roles written specifically for her in musicals, dramas, and comedies in New York City and across the United States in regional, stock, and off-Broadway productions. Ms. Lambert has also performed countless solo shows around the globe to critical and audience acclaim.
Susan's mission in the arts is to sing, act, and embody characters to deeply connect with audiences through joy, pathos and living the human experience onstage to the fullest. She strongly believes that the arts and artists have the power to influence culture, promote movements for change and equality, and contribute to everyone's overall happiness and well-being.
With 25 years of performing behind her, Susan has stepped into a new creative chapter — writing, producing, and building work on her own terms. One of her latest endeavors is the creation/production of an audiobook and e-book of poetry titled"The Wild Edge of the Heart: Women Poets Raise Their Voices,"which features twelve award-winning women poets narrated by Ms. Lambert, with a foreword by the renowned director and acting method pioneer Anne Bogart. All proceeds from this project will be donated to the NIRH to support reproductive health for girls and women.
She has enjoyed songwriting and singing acapella in her career as an artist as well as creating, producing, and performing solo shows of many kinds around the world. Susan has embarked on writing and producing and is excited to see where that journey takes her and her readers.
Susan grew up in a family of teachers and throughout her career as a performing artist has taught voice, workshops, and college courses, believing that learning is our most powerful force; along with love and curiosity!
